If you have subscribed to the Canadian databases updates, your subscription will be good with either version. There is no need to un-install earlier versions of Flight Wizard.

Flight Wizard 5 (FW5) supports all the data files used in FW4, like aircraft and pilots' profiles, map files, user's waypoints database, etc.

The following method can help you migrating the files to their new location under FW5:

1. Start FW5 and select Load a Flight Plan;

2. In the Select the source file dialog box click to go one level up so that in the Look in box you'll see Flight Wizard 5. Also, you should see under it a list of folders that look similar to those that come with FW4. Keep the dialog box open;
3. With the Windows Explorer access FW4 program folder (most likely, C:\Program Files\Flight Wizard 4). This folder has the same subfolders;


4. In turn, go to each subfolder in FW4, except subfolders Data and Aircraft, copy the files and paste them in their respective location in the dialog box that you have opened earlier;
5. From subfolder Data migrate file Usr_Points only;
6. From subfolder Aircraft migrate only the profiles that you have created.
